Silay City will co-host an episode of the show, “Balik-Bayan” on Q Channel 11 hosted by Sheryl Cruz, actress-singer.

Q TV will feature “Negros Occidental: The Sugar Capital of the Philippines”, which will showcase the industry of the province, tourist spots and other tourism-related attractions.

To be featured in Silay City are the hometown delicacy barter trade which highlights more than 30 varieties of Silay gustatory delights, bagoneta ride from Crossing Luguay to Mambag-id which attracts visitors because of the carts passing the railroad and the regional award of excellence recipient-Balaring Mangrove Rehabilitation Program.

Mayor Jose Montelibano said that this coordination is made possible through the Silay Tourism Office to promote the incoming Panaad sa Negros Festival 2010 (March 20-27).

Ver Pacete, president of the Association of Tourism Officers of Negros Occidental (ATONO) said that this promotion will be shown also in Channel 15 and Channel 19 and it can be watched in 85 countries and six different continents around the world through GMA Life TV.
